Internet

These days, internet access has almost become a necessity for most people’s daily lives. Whether it be for working or learning from home, telemedicine, video conferencing, video streaming, or simply scrolling social media, reliable internet opens up endless possibilities. We have created just that, reliable access to the internet. Current Inc. has created our very own, robust network to allow our local community to connect to a very strong backbone to the world wide web. Depending on location, you may have access to our fixed wireless network, or maybe even our quickly growing fiber optic network.

FIBER OPTIC NETWORK:
Nothing is faster than the speed of light, so why not use light to transmit data really fast? That’s exactly what we do, and we use fiber optic cable as a conduit for that light to get from point to point. We are building a fiber optic network directly to our customer’s houses in order to offer the fastest internet speeds possible. Building this network is a labor intensive task, and we are up to the challenge, installing both.

FIXED WIRELESS NETWORK:
Our fixed wireless network consists of several devices and antennas all located on local, strategically placed towers and high elevations. This equipment uses a line-of-sight concept, which means our customers need a good view of one of these towers to achieve a good strong wireless signal. These hills and trees we love so much can make this difficult at times, but has provided a solid solution to reach our rural community, that otherwise has no high speed options. Though it is wireless, and requires a receiver mounted on the structure, this is not satellite internet. The entire network is local, not receiving signals from a satellite thousands of miles in outer space. Less distance to travel means much faster speeds, and no interference from cloud cover or precipitation.
